Grain Pattern
Straight grain with a moderate, open texture. Some subtle cathedral patterns are visible due to the flat-sawn orientation, with fine pores and a slight wavy figure in the darker streaks.
Color Description
The heartwood is a grayish-brown with darker chocolate-brown and purplish streaks. The sapwood is creamy white (visible on the right edge). It has a dull to semi-lustrous finish and will typically lighten and become more golden-yellow with age and UV exposure.
