Moderately difficult to work due to its high density and interlocked grain which can cause tearout during planing. Glues and finishes well despite natural oils.
Finish Recommendations
Takes high-gloss finishes exceptionally well. Polyurethane, lacquer, and oil finishes work well; wipe down with solvent before gluing to remove surface oils.
