Workability
Challenging to work due to extreme hardness, high cutting resistance, and blunt cutting edges quickly. Contains silica which dulls tools rapidly. Glues and finishes adequately with proper preparation.
Finish Recommendations
Takes a good polish, but finishes containing oils or wipe-on finishes may require a sanding sealer first due to natural oils in the wood. Lacquer, varnish, and polyurethane work well.
